PLOT SUMMARY: Holmes plays a dangerous game as he seeks to draw out Count Sylvius, who has stolen the priceless Mazarin stone. Sylvius, meanwhile, is bent on Holmes' murder.

At one point, Holmes uses a gramophone to fool two people into believing he's occupied with playing his violin. The problem being that, even today, recorded music doesn't sound precisely like live music. On a turn of the century gramophone, you'd think the difference would be pretty obvious.
