How about a Transformers board here too?

By kerriem. on Wednesday, August 09, 2000 - 10:18 pm:

Yeah...it's been so long since most of us have seen the old episodes. Piecing together what everybody remembers (and using it to nitpick the new series) could be a lot of fun.

By DefiantNX74205 on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 1:16 am:

I'm all for that too, frankly, and this is just my oppinion, I could never really get into BW or BM, just wasn't enough like the original series for me, I also prefer the old style animation to the new cgi. I will however admit at times the diologue was corny in the originakl, but what do you want? it was 1985 (or somewhere around there). Mebe if BM ever gets any teams (constructicons, dinobots, insecticons, junkions) it'll make me try and watch again.

By Rene on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 2:36 pm:

I watched Transformers : The Movie and frankly, it put me to sleep...I don't get what people like about it....Optimus' death had no emotion to it. Dinobot's death was handled better.

By kerriem. on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 8:37 pm:

I forgot about the Constructicons! They were cool. Wonder why the new generation hasn't picked up on that combine-and-conquer technology? (Wasn't there a Star Trek Animated ep that featured organic beings that could work together?)

By Jason on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 12:40 am:

I think that the combination tech hasen't been used because in order for the combined robot to work, all the minds have to agree on what to do. So if someone wants to step on the enemy, and someone else wants to punch the enemy, nothing happens.

Megatron might have been able to do the combining in BM using drones, but the entire series demonstrates how the sparkless machines are inferior to the normal transformers.

Rene: What are you talking about Optimus' death had no emotion?! You have to get more into the movie. I've found that people who like G1 love the movie, but if you don't you won't get it at all.

Kind of like: "If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand."

By Rene on Monday, September 11, 2000 - 8:17 pm:

I tried watching the movie a second time...but I had to shut it off half way through....Boring!

By Roland Khorshidianzadeh on Monday, September 11, 2000 - 10:06 pm:

Guess I was right. . . ;-)

By Rene on Saturday, October 07, 2000 - 7:49 pm:

I'm sorry...It's not like I didn't try. I tried to get into the movie...I tried to like it...I just couldn't.

By kerriem. on Saturday, October 07, 2000 - 9:16 pm:

Now, now. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, right?
And as I recall, the people putting the movie out weren't exactly shooting for an Oscar - they were trying to sell toys! Let us be grateful that they also ended up with a really cool sci-fi concept, 'cause it sure wasn't what they started with.

There's where you can read about why The movie wasn't so hot.

Basically, for old fans: They killed off all your favorite characters

For new fans: There was no explanation of what the heck was going on

And for everyone: The Autobot Matrix of leadership was a very contrived plot device.

Of course, I still love watching it.

Can we put up the Transformers board? I'm downloading the episodes and have no place to put what I want to say! :-)

By Merat on Monday, February 05, 2001 - 5:42 pm:

Ok. In "S.O.S. Dinobot" (Thats the one where they rebel, right?) Megatron loses the canon that usually sits on his right arm. He is then shown behind a building, wearing it again. He then comes out oh hiding, picks it up, and attaches it.

By Corey Hines on Monday, February 05, 2001 - 8:10 pm:

Merat, I'm not going to put up a Transformers board yet. Phil wants to move to another server and I'm not going to do anything until then. Sorry.

By Merat on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 - 5:24 am:

Oh, ok. That makes sense. Mind if I post some Transformers nits here?

By Revenant71 on Tuesday, March 13, 2001 - 9:59 pm:

If anyone reads this, go read my post at the end of the last episode of Beast Machines, Season Two.

Second, does anyone else think we need a G.I. Joe board?

By KAM on Wednesday, March 14, 2001 - 4:45 am:

There was a G.I. Joe board, but hardly anyone posted on it & it was deleted when the Chief needed to make room.

By Merat on Monday, March 19, 2001 - 9:28 pm:

THANK YOU!!!!! Regarding the Transformers board.... THANK YOU!!!!

By Rene on Tuesday, August 07, 2001 - 7:51 pm:

Will there be a "Robots In Disguise" board?

By Corey Hines on Tuesday, August 07, 2001 - 7:54 pm:

Yes there will be

By KAM on Wednesday, August 08, 2001 - 2:17 am:

But it will be disguised. ;-)

By BF on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 10:41 pm:

Excellent news.

I don't watch ANY saturday morning stuff regularly; haven't since the first season of Batman Beyond. Looks like I'll be firing up the old vcr for the new Transformers series, though.

I want a robot that transforms into a soda machine.

By KAM on Saturday, September 22, 2001 - 11:59 pm:

Corey, there doesn't seem to be a board for the latest Robots In Disguise ep, "The Decepticons".
