Who's Who?

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: Beast Wars/Beast Machines/Transformers: The Kitchen Sink of Sparks: Who's Who?
By Keith Alan Morgan on Saturday, January 08, 2000 - 12:17 am:

Who are the voices for the characters and what other parts do they play?

I think Golem on Monster Rancher is the same guy as Rhinox, and sometimes the guy doing Suezo (the big eyeball) sounds a little like Rattrap.

Also was the guy who did Starscream on BW the same as did the original?
Same question for the Black Tiger (Ravage?)

KAM: I have a source for you--The Beast Wars/Beast Machines Unofficialy FAQ Page. Unfortunately, it's down for a redesign. But it's got answers and links for both those questions, as I remember seeing them there.

Beast Machines voice credits:

MAXIMALS

Gary Chalk - Optimus Primal
Ian James Corlett - Cheetor (first Goku/Master Roshi on Dragonball Z)
Scott McNeil - Rattrap/Waspinator/Silverbolt (first Piccolo on Dragonball Z, Suezo on Monster Rancher)
Venus Terzo - Blackarachnia
Alessandro Juliani - Nightscream

VEHICONS

David Kaye - Megatron
Christopher Gaze - Diagnostic Drone
Brian Drummond - Jetstorm (first Vegeta/Yajirobe on Dragonball Z)
Paul Dobson - Tankorr (Graveheart on War Planets/Shadow Raiders)
Jim Byrnes - Thrust (Inferno on Beast Wars)
Richard Newman - Rhinox-Tankorr (Golem on Monster Rancher)

As for Starscream, no... the Beast Wars performance is not the original actor. Chris Latta, who voiced Starscream in the original Transformers series, passed away in 1994 of a heart attack. Doug Parker (Terrorsaur) provided the voice of Starscream in the Beast Wars episode "Possession".

Another no in regards to Ravage. Frank Welker provided the voice/sounds for Ravage in the original series. Lee Tockar voiced Ravage during the Beast Wars three parter "The Agenda".

Thanks.

I never would have guessed that Rattrap, Waspinator & Silverbolt were the same actor. Very versatile voice.

Scott McNeil also played Dinobot.

Wish we could see some characters from the past and have their voices provided by the originals. I would love to see Grimlock in the series.
