Does anyone have any information on any novels that were published for the Transformers? I mean actual books, not comic books or graphic novels. I remember one coming out a few years ago (by Scott Ciencin) that seemed all dark and violent and geared for adults (very, very cool concept in my opinion). I had the impression that it was going to kick off a new series, and I was pretty excited about it.

I never got around to buying Ciencin's book, but last weekend I saw the movie preview, and I got interested again. But, try as I might, I can't seem to find much info on it. Amazon is sort of clogged with comic books listed as novels--I think anyway. It's hard to tell.

Did the series die? Did the other two books never get published? Does anyone have a link to a site supporting these books?
