Both a US movie and a spin-off series, probably also based in the US, are planned, according to this news.
Personally I can't get excited about either. I just want a Season 4 of the original series!
And for once my wish is granted! After initially cancelling the series, TPTB have finally managed to negotiate a fourth and a fifth season, probably to begin broadcast in January 2011. It seems a long way off but all the cast have signed up and presumably some of them had already made alternative arrangements for the early part of 2010.
It'll be interesting to see how they (presumably) manage to continue on from where they left off at the end of Season 3 with everyone looking two years older!
Filming starts in March 2010; but Jason Flemyng has decided not to return full time. He'll be in three or four episodes but that's all. So once again they have to find a new lead!
