Little Matrix reformats as Enzo Matrix and appears as a Guardian complete with Guardian icon, but his icon never received the download of Guardian protocol v1.0.

Big Matrix's icon DID receive a complete version of the Guardian code, and now we know why he's been keeping his icon in game sprite mode this whole time: so the cure wouldn't be found until this late in the story. Reformatting to Guardian mode somehow disinfects him, and he has it do the same for AndrAIa and Hexadecimal.

When Hexadecimal has powered up, she appears to be an amalgam of both her original and rebuilt viral forms.

Bob, Dot and Phong appear disinfected after Daemon's and Hexadecimal's fight, but it's never suggested that Matrix disinfected them, or had time to.

It seemed to me that Daemon was a kind of evil Joan of Arc.
