Notions of resuming the series

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: ReBoot: Command.com: The Kitchen Sink: Notions of resuming the series

By Andrew on Sunday, May 16, 1999 - 10:03 pm:

What was the last episode shown? Was it the one ending with everyone in a big musical?

By Sarah Perkins on Monday, May 17, 1999 - 2:32 pm:

Yes, that's the one.

[that is hearsay. I haven't acctually watched that ep yet]

By Matt Nelson on Saturday, May 22, 1999 - 12:36 am:

That is a hysterical episode. There is one loose end that didn't get tied up; see if you can catch it!

M@ Nelson
(here's a hint: Guardian.)

By Andrew on Sunday, May 23, 1999 - 12:34 am:

They still haven't resolved that 'Guardian disease' problem.

Recently--yesterday night, in fact--I depicted an oneiric (def.: dreamy) situation in which Megabyte was constituted by and had the visage (def.: appearance) of silver metal, and he posed as a good guy. Now grant you, this is merely a dream. However, my dreams have a tendency to become reality. For example, I shall dream or cogitate of a particular motion picture, and the film of which I contemplated is aired on television not even after one week elapses. Moreover, I recall some type of an advertisement for the primordial episode of the fourth season during this dream sequence. A premonition perhaps?

By D. Stuart, the ReBoot moderator on Sunday, June 27, 1999 - 9:52 am:

Yesterday night I depicted yet another oneiric situation in which Enzo Matrix was donning a mask identical to Hexadecimal's own mask, and he allegedly caused himself to become a flesh-colored woman, while still donning the mask, back to a greatly muscular Enzo Matrix whose facial structure, including the mask, had a striking resemblance to Darth Maul. Bob also made an appearance, and he had not realized the mask-wearing flesh-colored woman was Enzo Matrix until peering into his eyes. Furthermore, Bob's coiffure (def.: hairstyle) was one involving it being parted at one side. In other words, his hair no longer dangled down and it even appeared as if Bob had more hair than previously displayed. During this time, Bob was establishing reservations at some type of a vacation getaway by conducting a search on a snow-white atmosphere with Glitch as his search engine. Evidently, I was conversing with another character in this dream sequence who was physically around the age of nineteen, to say the least, and of flesh color. I poignantly notified this character that the muscular mask-wearing individual is in fact he. This is as far as the dream sequence progressed prior to becoming more and more vague. Another premonition perhaps?

By Matthew Patterson (Mpatterson) on Sunday, June 27, 1999 - 11:25 am:

Um… shouldn't you be worried that you're dreaming about a TV show? I don't think I've ever done that, or at least I don't remember it.

By Sarah Perkins on Sunday, June 27, 1999 - 7:33 pm:

He shouldn't worry too much. I once dreamed an entire new episode of Star Trek TNG, and a friend of mine dreamed that the Muppets invaded Deep Space Nine.

By Matthew Patterson (Mpatterson) on Sunday, June 27, 1999 - 8:58 pm:

Isn't the Muppets invading DS9 on the Slightly Warped Star Trek page?

By D. Stuart, the ReBoot moderator on Friday, July 09, 1999 - 9:15 am:

Unless you are lacking in the emotions department, does anyone else feel slightly sad observing ReBoot at its pilot after knowing full well what is to occur over the last three seasons, particularly to Enzo Matrix? Cartoon Network has aired all three seasons of ReBoot in two consecutive cycles now, and the cycle shall be repeated for a third time as the episodes progress further and further. In fact, the episodes aired are all reruns and have already been viewed during its initial broadcast as early as nineteen ninety-five. I myself am one of the fortunate ones in that I reserved a half an hour each weekend to observe an episode of ReBoot during its time on ABC. However, I lost interest in the show, more so because of the computer/Internet reference of which I was not aware at that point in my life, and was entirely obfuscated (def.: confused) as to what occurred to Bob in the episode "Web World Wars," whose tail end I caught while flicking the channels. This is why I jumped at the chance to observe the episodes I missed and beyond. Boy, was I in store for a surprise! I can only hope the series shall be resumed; it concluded only a year ago.

By Jennifer Pope on Friday, July 09, 1999 - 4:38 pm:

Uh, I haven't seen the third season - does Enzo change a lot being a Guardian?

By Jennifer Pope on Monday, August 02, 1999 - 10:33 am:

Eeekk...never mind.

By Biff B on Tuesday, August 10, 1999 - 9:22 pm:

For the 4th season what I'd like to see in addition to the obvious Daemon virus storyline is stories of Matrix & AndrAIa growing up in the games. We could find out where AndrAIa got her trident & Matrix got his targeting eye & gun combination. They could do this in the form of stories told to Enzo 01 by Matrix & AndrAIa. (If this idea sounds familiar, I've posted it on one of the episode pages as well.)

By A. Sinclaire, who's thinking of makign a ReBoot fic page. on Monday, January 31, 2000 - 10:18 pm:

You guys should write this stuff(dreams and things you want to see) in fanfic!

I was just over at http://www.mainframe.ca/ and I looked in the Reboot section and...

There will be two made-for-TV movie comming out in 2001!!! One will be shown in the Spring and the other in the Fall.

By Nawdle on Sunday, June 25, 2000 - 10:25 am:

I went Mainframe's site the same day as Sarah's post and I thought I made a post here about those movies. Guess I didn't. Thanks Jason.

By Merat on Thursday, June 29, 2000 - 3:37 pm:

Anyone else think this is a way for them to test just how popular Reboot still is? Tell everyone to watch, and who knows what might happen :)

By Windy on Wednesday, August 02, 2000 - 10:55 pm:

I wonder if they will make new merchandice (action figures and whatnot) to go along with the new series? I want a matrix figure....or a plushie...

By D. Stuart on Thursday, October 25, 2001 - 1:51 pm:

I always thought it would be an interesting twist to have Megabyte revealed as having actually been a friend or possible relative to Bob at the Guardian Academy. He was once a Guardian, too, but one fateful day, he was infected by the virus that manifested itself later on as Megabyte. With my idea, it slightly explains the father reference Megabyte makes concerning Nibbles. I also mention the introduction of two other characters somewhere under the ReBoot topic. One would be the Sprite-based embodiment of an anti-virus program, perhaps disassociated with and a surviver of/renegade from a since obsolete anti-virus.

By D. Stuart on Thursday, October 25, 2001 - 1:53 pm:

Surviver=survivor. Typo. There have been three (highly ludicrous) "Survivor" TV series and I still misspell the word.

By Nawdle on Thursday, October 25, 2001 - 3:28 pm:

Pobody's nerfect. ;)

By D. Stuart on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 - 11:35 pm:

"On an unrelated note, I propose two new characters to be added to the series. Their names shall be Conatus and Nisus, one of whom I envision as being an anti-virus program's Sprite."--Me.

First of all, Conatus is an archaic version of the word conation. And secondly, Nisus could be renamed Nimbus or Cynosure. Perhaps even Omnificent or Ubiquity as a third character.
