AndrAIa

Nitcentral's Bulletin Brash Reflections: ReBoot: Season Two: AndrAIa

Enzo is feeling lonely and left out of Bob and Dot's busy lives. When a game cube descends on Mainframe, trapping Bob, Dot, and Enzo in an undersea adventure, Enzo meets and becomes friends with AndrAIa, a little girl sprite. The two of them have a great time playing the game, until it is nearly over and Enzo realizes that AndrAIa is a game sprite. When the game goes away, his new friend will go with it...or will she find a way to stay with Enzo back in Mainframe?

Would colliding into that underwater treasure in the game not delete Enzo Matrix? All other times it is apparent this would occur with explosions.

Enzo Matrix claims as being the only Sprite his age in Mainframe. I have already indicated under the episode "The Great Brain Robbery" that Enzo Matrix was notifying playmates of the password of and that no girls are allowed for some type of clubhouse--a direct contradiction to Enzo Matrix's claim. Furthermore, I recall noticing young Binomes returning from school during the episode "In the Belly of the Beast." Now grant you, they are Binomes. However, are they not playmates with whom Enzo Matrix could play? After everything is said and done, though, Enzo Matrix required someone more along the lines of AndrAIa in the long run.

Not really a nit, because Glitch is certainly smart enough to figure it out, but still: here, Bob gives the command "Glitch! Game info!" In the third season, Enzo always gives the command as "Glitch! Games stats!"

I love the "dramatic recreation" of the events in "The Quick and the Fed", especially the Australian binome doing Bob.

I'm sure you all saw the Kirk & Picard binomes being chewed out by Bob after almost losing the first game.

As to how Enzo won the game, Bob said that all they had to do was beat the user to the treasure. He didn't say the treasure had to be in one piece.

I'm amazed that this game gave the user 15 lives. The most I ever started out with in a game was 4!

My "nit-picks" are as numerically proceeds:
1) Not truly a "nit-pick," but there is a "Where's Waldo?" Binome fleeing from Dot's Diner as the game cube is emerging.
2) Since when is Glitch telepathic? Bob and Dot Matrix reboot into mermaid-like entities, and Bob requests of Glitch, "Game info." How did Glitch hear this telepathic command?
3) Enzo Matrix's eye patch is up after AndrAIa awakens and reacts to Enzo Matrix's presence by unleashing her paralyzing fingertips, yet it is down in a sequential scene.

Stu:

Enzo wins the game before the explosion could hurt him.

Enzo's father accidentally destroyed the Twin City, killing off most of the sprites.

2) The game was just *simulating* telepathy. Everyone's thoughts were transferred to everyone else's *ears*, not their minds. Or at least that's a way to explain it away. ;-)

The serial plot starts with "AndrAIa". A new character will be needed to support Enzo during his eventual oddysey in the games, and she's introduced to Mainframe now.

The show's gotten to the point of being able to do self-parody, such as "True Stories of Mainframe".

They mention quite a bit of backstory concerning the Twin City and Dot's father.

When Enzo reboots into the game the icon on his hat is inverted.
