They're giving it another go.

By JD (Jdominguez) on Thursday, April 08, 2021 - 12:42 pm:

I will be quite surprised if this matches the support of the first Kickstarter...I will also be quite surprised if this retains the same cast of the Netflix seasons.

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Thursday, April 08, 2021 - 5:47 pm:

They've already got enough for three episodes.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, April 09, 2021 - 6:18 am:

I believe it's been announced that the Netflix era cast will be fully retained. A good thing too. I have nothing against Emily Marsh et al. But having a complete cast overhaul after just two season of a completely different cast from the original would have been a bit much.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Thursday, May 06, 2021 - 6:19 am:

They're at slightly over $4.8M with just under two days to go. Considering how Kickstarters often have surges near the end, a full twelve episodes looks probable.

Two of the movies that will be featured have been announced. Robot Wars was produced by our old pal Charles Band, who gave us Robot Holocaust, Laserblast, and The Day Time Ended. The other is Demon Squad, which looks to be an indy-produced urban fantasy flick

By Francois Lacombe (Franc0is) on Thursday, May 06, 2021 - 7:54 am:

Ah, Laserblast, a classic of classics

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Thursday, May 06, 2021 - 3:03 pm:

Went to the site and watched the numbers go up at least three times in less than a minute. :-)

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, May 07, 2021 - 6:25 am:

Though the banner graphic is yet to be updated at the time I write this, the $5.5M goal has been passed. Let's see if they can beat the original Kickstarter total.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Saturday, May 08, 2021 - 5:25 am:

The final total was a hair over $6.5M, which I believe is slightly better than the original MST3K Kickstarter.

By Callie Sullivan (Csullivan) on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 - 8:10 am:

Third film announced, which will probably be the first to be shown: Gamera vs Jiger

By ScottN (Scottn) on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 - 11:13 pm:

Yay!!!! Bad Japanese monster movies!!!

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 - 6:12 am:

And the triumphant return of Kon "Cornjob" Omura. Though this time he's sporting some unfortunate facial hair.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, October 08, 2021 - 6:51 am:

Through some deduction, a guy on the MST3K forum has determined that one of the movies to be screened in the upcoming season is the 1973 flick Beyond Atlantis. This was determined thanks to a recent post on the Kickstarter page which featured photos of some of the props, which is linked below (AFAIK it's not a Backers Only post). The third photo includes a SAT Prep Guide: 70s Dirtbag Edition.

Now here is the IMDB photo gallery for Beyond Atlantis (apparently multiple links in a single post isn't allowed).

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, November 12, 2021 - 3:57 am:

During the Turkey Day marathon (which starts at 0900 EST November 25), they'll be announcing the entire slate of movies for Season 13.

By Callie Sullivan (Csullivan) on Friday, November 12, 2021 - 9:30 am:

Ooh, cool. If anybody gets the list, can you post it here and I'll start setting up the topics ready for when the series airs?

(They might also list them in one of their regular emails to supporters, so I might get them through that instead.)

By ScottN (Scottn) on Friday, November 12, 2021 - 10:27 am:

Hi Callie! Long time, no see!

Just so you'll know, I've got the nishta ready!

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Sunday, November 14, 2021 - 5:32 am:

This is still going? I thought it died years ago.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Monday, November 15, 2021 - 5:55 am:

The tradition was restarted by Shout Factory back in 2013 and has been going strong since.

By Callie Sullivan (Csullivan) on Monday, November 15, 2021 - 7:10 am:

*waves at Scott*

(Or is the the RepliCallie waving at him ...?)

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 - 5:11 am:

Thanks for the info, Gordon.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 - 5:41 am:

Here's a collection of the bumpers used for the Turkey Day revival in 2013.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Thursday, November 25, 2021 - 9:08 pm:

We now have a complete list of movies that will be used for Season 13. In production code order, they are:

1301 Santo in the Treasure of Dracula
1302 Robot Wars
1303 Beyond Atlantis
1304 Munchie
1305 Dr. Mordrid
1306 Demon Squad
1307 Gamera vs Jiger
1308 The Batwoman
1309 The Million Eyes of Sumuru
1310 The Shape of Things to Come
1311 The Mask 3D
1312 The Bubble
1313 The Christmas Dragon

And I think I speak for all of us when I say that I'm pleased that we'll be getting another Santo movie.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Thursday, November 25, 2021 - 9:10 pm:

Here's the confirming link BTW:

By ScottN (Scottn) on Thursday, November 25, 2021 - 10:31 pm:

Yay!!!! More Gamera!!!

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Thursday, November 25, 2021 - 11:21 pm:

As I understand it, Dr. Mordrid was supposed to be an actual Dr. Strange movie, but the rights situation didn't work out, so they... changed it to be less of a copyright violation.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, November 26, 2021 - 5:02 am:

But in Mexico, they clearly don't care about copyright violations. Though their Batwoman is comelier than the one seen during the fifth season.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Monday, February 28, 2022 - 5:39 am:

First episode of the new season comes out this Friday at 2000 EST.

By Callie Sullivan (Csullivan) on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 - 3:51 am:

I still haven't received a code or link to join the Gizmoplex. So currently I can't watch any of the episodes :0(

I can't say that I'm heartbroken, but I am a bit peeved. I've got Level 35 'membership' which I thought included automatic ability to watch.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 - 5:43 am:

Have you checked your spam folder? It's one of those possibilities that's easy to overlook. If it's not there, you could always try contacting them about it.

By Callie Sullivan (Csullivan) on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 - 11:23 am:

Yeah, there's been nothing in spam. I'll get round to contacting them eventually.

It's sad that I'm not more eager to see these episodes. I was a bit disappointed with Season 12 - as, it seems, was everyone judging by the lack of comments here - and I only watched each episode once. But seeing your best lines for the first episode of this season got me a little more excited again.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, March 18, 2022 - 8:34 pm:

Letter reading will be featured in future special events. You can send your missives and scanned crayon drawings to mailbag@mst3k.com

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, February 24, 2023 - 6:31 am:

It's just been announced that Season 13 episodes will be available to watch on the free with ads streaming platform Pluto starting on March 1.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Saturday, February 25, 2023 - 5:20 am:

Coming to Neptune next :-)

By Smart Alec (Smartalec) on Saturday, February 25, 2023 - 2:53 pm:

Quaoar and Sedna are upset that Neptune outbid them.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Sunday, February 26, 2023 - 5:27 am:

Sneaky Neptunians.

By Butch Brookshier (Butchb) on Sunday, February 26, 2023 - 7:18 am:

Yay! Better late than never.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Friday, March 03, 2023 - 5:56 am:

Yup.

By Gordon Lawyer (Glawyer) on Friday, March 03, 2023 - 6:25 am:

Tonight is Tom and Crow's Unsupervised Year-End Review Revue. This will hopefully provide us with details of a possible Season 14.
