Beetlejuice 2 is going to be made
From Wikipedia it says
"A sequel was officially announced on May 10, 2023 with a theatrical release date set for September 6, 2024.[4]"
I saw the Animated Series once and back in the day played the Beetlejuice video game on the
8-bit NES

Beetlejuice 2 is going to be made

Why?

Don't get me wrong, Beetlejuice is a great film, but, come on, that was thirty-five years ago! The coveted movie going audience weren't even alive then (since they fall into their late teens to early twenties).

Furthermore, Michael Keaton is now 71 years old. Surely they don't expect him to play the role like he was still 36, when he made the original film.

Seems we have a case of yet another aging actor trying to recapture the past. Seriously, this needs to end. No matter how talented an actor you are, you cannot turn back the clock.

Thankfully, not all actors are like this. As I have pointed out in the past, Clint Eastwood retired his Dirty Harry character, in 1988 (when he was 58).

More recently, Sigourney Weaver has said that, even if they make more Alien movies, Ellen Ripley will not be coming back. Reason, she's too old to play this character anymore (she's 73 now). Like many elderly actors, Ms. Weaver is moving into voice work. It's easy money and age is not a factor (Tom Baker can still be the Fourth Doctor in Big Finish, for example).

If Michael Keaton wants to be Beetlejuice again, Audio may be the way to go.

YES! Good Burger 2 is coming out to

My prayers have finally been answered !!

Can't wait for Good Burger 2

By Jeff Winters (Jeff1980) on Monday, June 12, 2023 - 2:39 pm:

In addition to being excited about
Good Burger 2 , I loved the 2008 film
"Step Brothers"
the unapologetic immaturity and fun of it was incredible. It definitely reminded me of Martin Short and his superb performance as Clifford Daniels in the 1994 slapstick black comedy film “Clifford” him and the late Charles Grodin were hilarious. I think “Step Brothers” was even better, with it’s chemistry, physical comedy, witty verbal jokes and puns. Richard Jenkins was as always superb as a character actor. Some have said Step Brothers marked the end of an era for comedy, all the more reason why “Step Brothers 2” needs to be made. In this age where people are hyper sensitive and too easily offended, we need to poke fun at ourselves.

Nicole Kidman gave a great performance in the 1995 comedy film
"To Die For" , just as good as her
Performance in the her 2001 movie
"Birthday Girl"

Good for her

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Friday, June 30, 2023 - 5:40 am:

Indeed.

Nicole Kidman gave a great performance in the 1995 comedy film "To Die For"...

Which was based on the real life case of Pamela Smart. She seduced her 16 year old lover to murder her husband. A scandalous case which made headlines, and was anything but funny.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Saturday, July 01, 2023 - 5:20 am:

Hardly a comedy movie.

By Francois Lacombe (Franc0is) on Saturday, July 01, 2023 - 6:16 pm:

Dark comedy?

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Saturday, July 01, 2023 - 10:46 pm:

I remember it being marketed as a comedy, but I never saw it so couldn't say how funny it was.

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Sunday, July 02, 2023 - 5:07 am:

Never saw it either.

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Sunday, July 02, 2023 - 4:06 pm:

Adam - Which was based on the real life case of Pamela Smart.

Technically it was based on a novel "To Die For" which was based on, or inspired by, the Smart case.

A Beetlejuice sequel is coming out.

Michael Keaton joins a long line of aging actors trying to live in the past.

Sad.

By Keith Alan Morgan (Kmorgan) on Saturday, March 23, 2024 - 2:04 pm:

"I'm Beetlejuice!"

;-)

Hey, maybe his next sequel can be Mr. Grandmom? 8-D

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Sunday, March 24, 2024 - 5:00 am:

Good one.

By Jeff Winters (Jeff1980) on Friday, March 29, 2024 - 6:40 pm:

Anyone else hear the rumors about
Adam Sandler and
Happy Gilmore 2 being made ?

By Tim McCree (Tim_m) on Saturday, March 30, 2024 - 5:00 am:

Nope, not me.

And I hope said rumours, if they do exist, are not true. We don't need yet another aging actor pathetically trying to recapture the past.
